Thank you for taking the time to visit the Marri-U site. As the name suggests, I - Mary M Scott - will Marri-U and make your day.
I first found my passion for performing wedding ceremonies while working at the Townsville Court House, ensuring that each couple’s ceremony was particularly special. This earned me the reputation for going above and beyond the normal Court House wedding and I ventured a step further towards helping others to achieve their dream. I have now become a Registered Marriage Celebrant and can help to create your special memorable day: personally prepared to suit your needs. For you.
Creating special days is not only relevant for weddings: I also conduct Commitment Ceremonies, Vow Renewals and Baby Naming Ceremonies.
And if you’re looking for a celebrant who will perform themed ceremonies (for example, Medieval, Victorian, the Roaring Twenties and Country, just to name a few!), I’m the one – I am prepared to dress to suit your theme!
I also will blend in with the colour theme of the wedding party if necessary.
Whether you hold your ceremony in the comfort of your own home, on a sun-kissed beach, in a rambling garden setting or at a friend’s property; I’m happy to travel anywhere within a 100km radius of Townsville without extra charge.
I am also open to discussing interstate or international ceremonies.
My passion for your day starts with the planning: I will work with you! Whether you are becoming a Bride and Groom, committing to your partner or - in the case of Baby Naming Days – you are the mother and father of a child; I ensure you get what you want for your special day. I can offer advice on how to plan the occasion in the lead-up (see the tips and resources page), explain what needs to be considered both legally and practically, and can even help those who are struggling with vows.
